Members of the Georgia Military College family – alumni, friends, faculty, staff, corporate partners, and foundations – contributed almost $1.2 million to GMC in fiscal year 2010. Despite the challenges of today’s economy, those who believe in GMC have kept the college among their philanthropic priorities.
Thanks to your investment and your involvement, GMC continues to thrive. A few highlights from last year:
• More than 1,600 gifts were received, and donations, exclusive of grants, increased by 36%, for total receipts of $1,175,175.03.
• The endowment investment portfolio increased in market value by $1.2 million.
• President’s Circle membership ($1,000+) increased by 22%, and the donations of fiscal year 2010 members alone exceeded $564,000.00.

• The GMC’s Promise campaign successfully reached completion with $1.4 million donated and all naming opportunities secured.
• The G.I.F.T. (Getting Involved for Tomorrow) campaign more than doubled in faculty and staff participation and in total funds donated.
• Four new legacy (planned giving) commitments were made.
• The direct impact of GMC Foundation funds upon GMC through scholarships, programs, grants, and endowment totaled $941,540.55.
Your gifts established scholarships and provided funding for academic and athletic programs. They purchased classroom equipment and technology. They helped faculty participate in professional development opportunities. And they created vibrant new spaces for learning.
