The GMC Foundation continues to meet and exceed its fundraising goals.

The following are some of our achievements this year:

Endowment Growth
Increase in endowment value from $3.2 million at the end of fiscal year 2005 to $4.3 million at the end of fiscal year 2006.

Fundraising Success
Gifts and pledges totaling over $1,117,000.00 as well as a number of new commitments of deferred gift arrangements

Special Initiatives

• Steinway Society Concert Series
• “Take A Seat Campaign” for sponsorship of auditorium seats
• Naming opportunities in the new James E. Baugh Barracks
• 1879 Circle of Friends recognizing those donating $18.79 or more annually to the Alumni Scholarship Fund

President’s Circle
Growth in membership to 107 donating $1,000.00 or more annually in fiscal year 2006

Direct Assistance to Georgia Military College
Gifts directly applied to various purposes and needs at the College totaled $228,759.00.
Through the generosity of its donors, the Foundation provided funding for

• scholarships for deserving students
• recognition for outstanding students, faculty and staff
• departments and programs
• Steinway Concert Series
• facilities and
• other needs identified by the President.

The Foundation is pleased to encourage academic excellence and student success in an ever-increasing number of ways.
